Greetings Mystery College Community,
Many of you may not realize it, but since the very beginning of Mystery College, there’s been a guiding force working quietly behind the scenes. In fact, his suggestion—an homage to the legendary “Invisible College,” a secretive network whose members included some of history’s greatest minds inspired the very name “Mystery College”.
The original Invisible College, a precursor to the Royal Society, counted among its members such luminaries as Sir Isaac Newton, Robert Boyle, Christopher Wren, Robert Hooke, and John Wilkins—figures who revolutionized science, philosophy, and the arts. The broader tradition of the Invisible College also inspired or included visionaries like Galileo, Johannes Kepler, occultist John Dee, and even creative icons such as Beethoven, John Keats, and Pablo Picasso.
Allow me to introduce Alex Leonhart.
Alex is a seasoned practitioner of Shaivism with over 20 years of experience, a polyglot, and a former professor of comparative religious studies. He's spent the closer portion of two decades of his life between living full-time at ashrams, as a protégé to spiritual leaders, and academia. But he has also lived through far greater hardships than anyone I've ever known and earned my full respect. Over the years, Alex and I have collaborated on writing, courses, and through several business ventures, and our friendship and shared passion for wisdom have only deepened.
Today, I’m thrilled to say that Alex is not just a co-creator, but a full-time teacher here at Mystery College—bringing his depth of knowledge, unique perspective, and dedication directly to you.

(note: these courses will be highly engaging, humorous, and far more enjoyable than what description could ever express. Don't say I didn't warn you.)
1. Vedic Shaivism Approach to Initiation into Hermetics
Duration: 20 Weeks (Drop-in, attending all classes is recommended)
Details: Dive deep into Hermetic practice through the lens of Vedic Shaivism. This course is included free with your Initiation into Hermetics (IIH) enrollment—a $500 value! Otherwise, you can take it a-la-carte.
2. Pan-Religious Invocation Series
Duration: Ongoing (weekly rotating topics, Drop-in)
Details: Learn safe and effective invocation techniques for working with deities from Greek, Norse, Egyptian, African, Christian, Sufi, South American, Asian, and more. We will practice these together and have amazing shared experiences.
3. Initiation into Shaivism
Duration: Ongoing (Attending all classes is reccomended)
Details: Full initiation into a Vedic system, based on over 20 years of practice by Alex Leonhart and his teachers. Includes theory, practical exercises, and spiritual empowerments.
4. Disability-Friendly Yoga (Title in progress)
Duration: Ongoing (weekly rotating topics, drop-in friendly)
Details: Over 100 hours of accessible yoga, with gentle movements and modifications for every body. Perfect for meditation prep, pain relief, and relaxation.
The first classes are free and will cover all Eight Limbs of Yoga—including samadhi, dharana, and concentration. Expect 30% super-easy asanas, and 70% yoga philosophy, practice, and enjoyable meditations. Nothing like your typical Lululemon hatha yoga class—think more wisdom, less workout gear! Your input and feedback are always welcome.
5. Empowerments & Transmissions
Duration: Ongoing (weekly rotating topics, drop-in friendly)
Details: Experience a variety of energetic transmissions—from health and wealth to Kabbalah, Buddhist, and Hindu energies. Presented in both scholarly and practical ways, with safety and enjoyment as top priorities.
6. Grimoire Studies
Duration: 4–16 Weeks per text (monthly/quarterly changing topic, can start fresh every month)
Details: Explore and practice with spiritual classics, from the Tao Te Ching to advanced grimoires like the Picatrix or Abramelin the Mage.
7. Concordianism
duration: 8–12 weeks. (Attending all classes recommended)
It's a new, evidence-based spiritual system developed with Alex Leonhart. No beliefs are required; only experiments and measurable results. The first lessons are free. Proceeds benefit the Little Mercies charity, which helps Stateless Burmese child refugees receive food and schooling. The course focuses on self-experimentation, learning exercises, and the scientific method. It's designed for beginners and advanced practitioners. It helps apply these skills to any spiritual path.
